Training for Combat, Preventing Before ‘Ignition’: Highlights from Shichuang Technology’s 2025 Comprehensive Emergency Rescue Drill!

To comprehensively enhance emergency response capabilities for sudden fire incidents, on the afternoon of March 16, 2025, Shichuang Technology Company partnered with the Qingyuan City Fire Brigade to conduct the 2025 Comprehensive Emergency Rescue Drill. This exercise aimed to strengthen employees’ firefighting skills, elevate knowledge of chemical rescue operations, test government-enterprise collaborative response capabilities, and reinforce the company’s safety production framework.

The drill adhered strictly to the Guidelines for Commanding Emergency Rescue in Hazardous Chemical Accidents. The Qingyuan City Fire Brigade served as the chief commander, with the Yuantan Town Fire Detachment acting as deputy commander. Together with Shichuang Technology’s volunteer fire brigade and fire detachments from various districts, they formed an emergency response team to realistically simulate a fire accident in a hazardous chemical warehouse.

At 3:00 PM, the drill officially commenced. Simulated Scenario: A loose flange in the production area triggered a leak of xylene solvent, which ignited due to static electricity, sparking a fire. The blaze rapidly spread to the hazardous chemical storage area, posing risks of large-scale combustion and explosion—an extremely critical situation!

Timeline of Events:

  • 3:00 PM – Initial Emergency:On-duty employees detected the leak and fire, promptly reporting it to the Safety and Environmental Department. Following on-site confirmation, the plant-wide audio-visual alarm was activated, the evacuation team guided employees to a designated safe area, the emergency system mobilized the volunteer fire brigade, and a simultaneous call was made to 119 for emergency assistance.

  • 3:03 PM – Initial Response:Shichuang Technology’s volunteer fire brigade arrived at the scene within three minutes, initiating efforts to suppress the fire.

  • 3:10 PM – Professional Support:The Qingyuan City Fire Brigade arrived with nine fire trucks. The commander-in-chief deployed an on-site combat plan: firefighting robots penetrated the fire’s core area, aerial ladder trucks blocked the fire’s spread from above, and multiple teams established firefighting lines across designated zones.

  • 4:00 PM – Fire Scene Cleanup:After extinguishing open flames, the detection team assessed residual risks, the decontamination team addressed polluted areas, and the logistics team completed a headcount of all personnel.

“This drill successfully achieved the goal of ‘promoting practice through exercises and preparing for emergencies through training!’” emphasized the head of Shichuang Technology’s Safety and Environmental Department. “We will continue to refine our ‘five-minute emergency circle’ framework, conduct monthly specialized training, and ensure that safety measures are ingrained in every role across the company!”

The commander of the Qingyuan City Fire Brigade added: “This joint drill innovatively employed an ‘intelligent command + real personnel and equipment’ approach, offering a standardized reference model for emergency rescue operations in hazardous chemical enterprises.”
